Problem and Context

Hardware concepts span mechanical design, electronics, firmware, sourcing, and assembly. We explored how an AI assisted interface could turn a brief into a coordinated set of artifacts for review.

User Flow

  1. Submit a product brief or hardware sketch.
  2. Extract components, constraints, and assembly stages.
  3. Review generated diagrams, models, electronics, firmware, and documentation.
  4. Request refinements and compare revised artifacts.
  5. Download files and continue to a demonstration order planning screen.

Capabilities

The workflow covers technical diagrams, bills of materials, assembly instructions, STL models, PCB schematics, Gerbers, and Arduino firmware. Public samples show circular and teardrop variants of a wearable air quality pendant.

Architecture

Next.js and React provide the interface, with Zustand for state and Clerk for authentication. Convex handles data, storage, and functions, with WebSocket synchronization. The prototype runs on Vercel and includes Claude Haiku integration points.
